Stena Fastigheter had advertised their new housing development South of Stockholm on instagram as a post. They wanted an animation with the same look for instagram stories. The ad should capture the feel of the apartments and use the same images. Copy would be delivered later.
Challenge
Showing five landscape images in the narrow portrait format for instagram stories. As it is all about the home, where you relax and wind down after a hectic work day, slow, soft movements were needed to convey a feeling of calm and harmony, but still show as much as possible of the images. All within a 15-second clip.
Solution
Solution
I used the full height of the images and let them move across the screen making as much of the image as possible visible. I added a smooth diagonal transition to allow for more of the image to visible for longer. The text animates in from the middle with the background coming in from the left. I placed the text to add to the “action” without getting in the way.
