Building the CCData brand with a complete visual identity as they take a stronger focus on the institutional financial market.

Brief

CCData is a global cryptocurrency market data provider. They moved from retail clients to financial institutions, and needed a relevant visual identity to clearly communicate their brand and resonate with a more defined target group.

The project included: a complete visual identity with brand concept (logo, color system, typography, graphic elements, imagery, iconography + brand guide). I also designed the website, report covers, infographics, slide decks and social media templates.

The decision to separate the brand into two branches, retail (CryptoCompare) and institutional (CCData) coincided with the FTX crypto exchange collapse and it became quite urgent to get CCData off the ground. The full rebrand was completed in 3 months.

Logo

The CCData logomark is based on a digital look for 1 and 0 (binary code) morphed into geometric squares and rectangles symbolizing blockchain technology. I custom-made the font going for classic minimalistic lettering in semibold, and a “t” with a slightly edgier cut.
