Brief
Cuba in Sweden organizes concerts and dance events with various famous salsa bands and artists from Cuba. They needed marketing materials to advertise two gigs in Stockholm, with the salsa/timba bands Los Van Van and Havana D’Primera. This included posters, rollups, leaflets and event banners for social media. Information needed to be included on all prints as they would be displayed at dance clubs and other music events with nobody around to answer questions.
Logo design
I also came up with a logo for them as they did not have one. The logo can also be used as a stamp, for instance at the entrance of their events. I went with a retro feel. Salsa music has old roots. I incorporated the 5-pointed star from the Cuban flag radiating musical energy in Sweden. The trombone gets to symbolize all the other instruments and the music itself because as it is played, it is itself in motion, as portrayed in the logo.
